Extension to Grade II Listed Farmhouse – Blending Contemporary Design with Heritage Sensitivity
We were commissioned to build a striking modern pavilion-style extension to this charming Grade II listed farmhouse. The brief called for a contemporary living space that would enhance the functionality of the home without compromising its historic character.
The new structure features a polished concrete floor and Corten steel detailing both inside and out, offering a refined industrial aesthetic that complements the original fabric of the building. Large bifold doors open up to the garden, filling the space with natural light and creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
Careful attention was given to how the new extension connects to the historic building. Every detail—from materials to construction methods—was approached with respect for the original architecture. The result is a bold yet sympathetic addition that enhances the property's value and usability while preserving its listed status.
If you’re considering extending your listed home and want to combine modern design with traditional sensitivity, we can help guide you through every step of the process—from design to completion
